Peter Jordans Factory brings people together with its projects: artists, musicians, poets, inspired people…

It’s never a story of “I” -Johan Beun, alias Peter Jordan- but always a story of “we”.

Meanwhile, in between projects, I like to contribute to events that are imbued with “together”. I participate in jam sessions, provide musical support of artistic productions and take part in one-off or recurring musical projects.

To be able to share this passion for art with both my daughters, Romy and Reina, is just wonderful.

On this page I will take you through some personal experiences that took place in the meantime.

De Zes Van Gent – Minard Ghent – Photography Michel Goessens

Thirty two years after foundation the musical collective “De Zes Van Gent” reunited. After thirty-two years of radio-silence, the musical collective “De Zes Van Gent” rose to the surface for a long awaited reunion.

This special event took place in the oldest and most beautiful city theatre of Gent, the “Minard” which elevated the whole experience. Popband ‘Les Charmeurs’, of which I was part, also signed present.

The night became even more unforgettable as I got to share the stage with my daughter, Reina. She replaced the original bass player Patrick Vols for the occasion. Geert Bonne (original drummer of Gorky) stood in for Dominique De Zutter.

Michel Goessens

Michel is a photographer who teaches photography at VISO, Gent, and has taken part in many photo exhibitions.

In addition to his photography, he’s also a musician. For example, he was frontman for Aardvark and released several CDs. He is currently touring with Goes&Goes, together with his son Nathan Goessens as drummer.

Because fish are therapeutic – Theatre production from Romy Beun

As thesis for her Drama Teacher training at Fontys, Tilburg NL, my daughter Romy Beun created the theatre production “Because Fish Are Therapeutic”.

The performance was a big success both in Theater Tinnepot, in Gent, and in communitycenter De Bijenkorf, in Assenede. How wonderful to be able to musically support this play and these talented young musicians and actors.

Kudos to Blauw De Greve (vocals), Milan Robbrechts (keyboard), Laris D’Hose (bass), Tuur Geldhof (bass) and Nathan Goessens (drums). And to the actors Anthony Notebaert, Katoo Vanhoutteghem, Xenia Borremans and Stan De Coninck.

Romy Beun

Romy is currently in her final year of the Drama Teacher training at Fontys in Tilburg (NL). As an actress she plays in various theatre productions.

In addition, Romy also teaches drama at the Academy Music Word Dance in Dendermonde.

She recently started a small production collective FERM together with Katoo Vanhoutteghem. The two theater makers have traveled a parallel path towards their field of work. With a common vision for storytelling, they make productions together under the name FERM. They both involve their own world as a young woman in society in order to translate it to the floor

Night Of The Guitars – T’Kruisken Evergem – Photography Yves Bruggeman

Willem De Smet (2014✝️) , pubowner of music café “ ’t Schransken” organised the Night Of The Guitars since 1996, where he gave stage to many bands.

Meanwhile, this annual event -which has been continued as a tribute since his death- has become a fixed value in Meetjesland. The organisation is now in the hands of Kristof Vandendriesche and myself, musicians of the first hour. A warm tradition with which we like to keep Willem’s memory alive.

Yves Bruggeman

Yves is an amateur photographer who takes professional pictures and better known by his stage name slachter666.

He has since photographed an impressive collection together.

Making every artist look like a rock star is his goal. His work was recently on display at the exhibition “Pictures & Guitars” check out his site!

Flourishing Destinations visits Meetjesland region

The story of Flourishing Destinations also had a sequel. After postponement by covid, delegations from Scotland and Romania visited the Meetjesland in 2022.

It became a happy reunion and together we shared inspiring moments with workshops, tours, music and dance, visits to the cultural heritage and artist Wim Ricourt’s studio. The exchange and friendship were heartwarming.

Flourishing Destinations means not only the cross-pollinations of ideas between different regions, but also a pleasant rediscovery of one’s own region.
